I've always had a soft spot for the Legio Cybernetica, which as I type it seems like an odd thing to say. Moreover I really don't have enough tangential robot related minatures in my collection, which is what lead me to this quickie Legio Cybernetica Datasmith Conversion.

It's a nice straightforward build. The locomotion carriage* is constructed from a pair of tracks from the Adeptus Mechanicus Kataphron Destroyers/Breachers kit, while the platform upon which the Datasmith stands is one of the side armoured panels from the Baneblade kit. You get a couple of spares if you choose to add side-sponsons, but it's essentially a flat bit of plastic with a few rivets, so I'd have just cut some 1mm styrene sheet and added my own rivets from domed nail-art beads, had I not stumbled across the Baneblade part in my bits box.
The Datasmith itself is pretty much straight from the Kastelan Robots kit, save for the extra servo-arm on it's backpack, which was also sourced from the Kataphron Destroyers/Breachers kit**. I also added a representation of some kind of data connection between the Datasmith and the carriage, crafted from coiled wire supplied by Zinge Industries. This is preferable to Guitar string, as it is considerably more malleable and retains it's shape once bent, with a much lower risk of kinking.
